How we work

resumer is an independent tech news outlet. We report from primary sources and from the press in the United States, Europe, China, Korea and Japan — always citing where each piece of information comes from.

  1. Reporting

We gather press releases, spec sheets, regulatory filings and press coverage from several countries, read in the original language.

  2. Writing

The reported data becomes text based on the gathered sources; automatic rules remove sentences with unsourced numbers and sales language.

  3. Automatic gates

Before publishing, automatic rules check the story: unsourced numbers, prices in the headline, sales tone, repeated data and text too close to the source. What does not pass does not go live.

  4. Correction after publishing

The newsroom follows what goes out and corrects it when it finds an error or receives a report.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell products or publish paid content disguised as news.
  • We don't estimate a price for Brazil without a source. When a price in another currency gets an approximate value in dollars, the story gives the date and source of the exchange rate.

We have Google AdSense ads and affiliate links. They never decide what is published or how a product is assessed — and they are always labeled, as "Advertising" and "Affiliate links". Each story shows at most two ads, never in the middle of the argument, and short stories get none. When you buy through an affiliate link, we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you.

How the text is made

Every story carries the numbered list of sources consulted and, when the reporting did not confirm something, the "What we still don't know" section instead of guesswork in the text.

Each story is written first in Portuguese. The English edition is translated automatically with AI, and numbers, prices, dates, brands and models are checked so they do not change.
