Apple launches OLED iPad mini, the biggest update to the lineup. The model gets a new A20 Pro chip, a thinner and lighter design, and a brighter display.

The iPad mini has an 8.5-inch (21.6 cm) OLED display, a side volume button, a USB-C port on the left side and a power button on the front. The new version is part of Apple's tablet lineup, which has received significant updates over the years. The new version is the biggest update to the lineup so far, with an OLED display, a new chip and improvements in design and performance.

The iPad mini is available starting November 6 in the US, with Wi-Fi models for US$ 699 and Wi-Fi and cellular models for US$ 849. The model is water- and dust-resistant (IP67), 5.4 mm thick and weighs 255 grams. It is available in black and silver, with a 12MP front camera.

The OLED display brings more brightness and contrast, but does not support a larger screen in split-view mode. Users need a specific app to take advantage of the OLED display's features. Apple has not confirmed pricing or availability in Brazil. The display is also more scratch-resistant, thanks to the material used. The new A20 Pro chip speeds up performance, allowing complex games and apps to run smoothly. The thinner, lighter design makes the iPad mini more comfortable to take on trips or use in small spaces.

Water and dust resistance (IP67) protects the device against common accidents, such as drops or splashes. These improvements make the iPad mini more versatile and durable, serving an audience looking for a compact tablet with high performance and durability. The 8.5-inch display is thinner and lighter, which reduces weight and improves the device's durability. The new A20 Pro chip increases performance and energy efficiency, allowing longer use without recharging. The update is the biggest in the lineup, with changes that directly affect the user's day-to-day. The arrival date in Brazil has not yet been confirmed.
