Xbox launches compact controller for family gaming

Microsoft launches the Xbox Nano Controller, a lighter and more compact controller. It arrives in Brazil in November 2026, for US$ 75.43 (converted from BRL 379).

The new controller is 5 inches (12.7 cm) long and weighs 3.5 ounces (99 grams). It is the brand's first with a reduced size and lower weight, aimed at smaller players and users looking for portability. The Xbox Nano Controller includes 18 game inputs, a rechargeable battery, a programmable action button, and support for Xbox Wireless and Bluetooth.

The controller is compatible with Xbox One, Series X and S, PC, Windows, Android, and iOS. It is described as the smallest ever released by Microsoft. The device has 18 standard controls and an internal lithium-ion battery. Compatibility with several devices allows the controller to work on Smart TVs and other devices via Bluetooth. The Xbox Nano Controller was unveiled internationally, with emphasis on Brazil and Spain. Microsoft developed the controller to be more compact and lightweight, competing with other models on the market. The international version costs US$ 49.99, while in Brazil the price is US$ 75.43 (converted from BRL 379).

The reduced size also makes it easier for children and teenagers to use, offering a better fit in the hands. The lower weight, combined with the ergonomic design, may improve the experience of playing for longer without fatigue. With 18 game inputs, the controller allows customization for different games, making it versatile for various genres. The programmable button adds flexibility, allowing players to adjust commands according to their preferences. The internal lithium-ion battery provides battery life, but requires recharging to maintain performance. Compatibility with devices such as Xbox One, Series X/S, PC, Android, and iOS broadens the controller's use, but requires users to have a compatible device.

The connection via Bluetooth or Xbox Wireless offers flexibility of use, but depends on the device's operating system version. The controller is compatible with games already released on Xbox Series X|S and PC, including titles such as Dune: Awakening and Shape of Dreams, which makes the transition to the new model easier. Portability and the lightweight design are key points, with a reduced weight that makes it easier to use in family games.

According to the company, the device is designed for smaller players, smaller hands, or anyone looking for something portable to play on the go. The Xbox Nano Controller can be used with Xbox One, Series X/S, PC, Android, and iOS. The Xbox Nano Controller changes the way young players and travelers interact with games. Its reduced size and weight allow use in limited spaces and while playing on the move. The controller uses an internal lithium-ion battery, ensuring battery life for long sessions. Compatible with Xbox One, Series X and S, PC, Windows, Android, and iOS via Bluetooth, it expands use beyond the console, integrating with mobile devices and computers.
