GTA VI pre-download begins on November 10. The file requires 212 GB of space and a minimum speed of 2.8 Mbps. The official launch will be on November 19.
Rockstar Games is getting players ready for GTA VI with a digital pre-download that begins on November 10, 2026. The game arrives on November 19, but the pre-download is available before the official launch. The physical version of the game will be released on November 12, with the pre-download starting on that date for players who bought a download key.
The availability of the digital pre-download is a way to make access to the game easier, but it requires enough disk space and a stable internet connection. The file size is large, but the pre-download start date is clear. The digital version costs US$ 0.99, but the price in Brazil has not been announced.
Rockstar Games revealed this information in statements, while outlets such as PlayStation, Xbox, Siliconera and Gamefile also published the details. The release of GTA VI is a new entry in the franchise, developed by Rockstar, and is planned for PlayStation 5, with the digital pre-download as part of the distribution strategy. The GTA VI pre-download begins on November 10, 2026, but it is only available to those who bought the digital version or a download key. The process requires 212 GB of disk space, which may be a problem for those with limited storage. The need for 212 GB also affects those who want to pre-download on devices with smaller capacity.
The pre-download date is earlier than the official launch, but the availability of the physical version in Brazil has not yet been confirmed. The digital version in Brazil also has no set date, which leaves players in the country unsure about when they will be able to start downloading the game. The GTA VI pre-download runs in parallel with the launch, testing storage capacity and the synchronization of times across platforms. Players need to check storage availability before starting the process. This may affect the experience of players who depend on connections at specific times.
